Our Restaurant
The Chez Antonin restaurant has been the seafood specialist at the Les Halles covered market in Lyon since 1906.
Created by Antonin Bellegarde at the Cordeliers Les Halles, then taken over by his daughter when it moved to Les Halles at Cours Lafayette in 1970, this oyster bar was bought by Eric Giraud in 1990 and is still located in Les Halles de Lyon, now known as Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse.

Just like the other 48 stallholders in Les Halles, Eric Giraud only offers the very best products.
Built in 1859 at Place des Cordeliers, the city of Lyon decided to create a new, innovative space worthy of its gastronomy by building the new Halles in the up-and-coming Part-Dieu district in 1971: 13,500 square metres arranged over three levels, housing all that Lyon does best.
After two years of building work, Paul Bocuse agreed to lend his name to this unique location in 2006. Recognition as well as a hallmark of high standards.

The Chez Antonin restaurant offers Seafood Platters all year round. You can put together your own platter based on the catch of the day. We respect the changing seasons, meaning that we may serve different varieties of oysters, shellfish and seafood depending on what time of year you visit.

Our Cooked Dishes
The Chez Antonin Seafood Restaurant also offers a menu of cooked dishes. Our menu has something to satisfy every gourmet, with seafood such as squid à la plancha, salmon and whole cooked seasonal fish, and even a few meat dishes such as Burgundy snails. We also offer a home-made apple tart, available every day.
